Booking Terms and Conditions

  • Payment of deposit or part payment for your booking indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Please be aware that in the time period between an enquiry being made and an actual booking being made, the availability may change and this can incur change in the original price.
  • All bookings will remain provisional until confirmed by credit card or direct deposit.
  • A deposit of 50% of our total fee is required to confirm you booking.  If booking is made within the 14 days  prior to arrival the total amount must be paid to confirm your booking.
  • The balance of payment will be charged upon arrival.
  • American Express and Diners cards will incur a surcharge of 3.3%.  There is no surcharge for Mastercard or Visa Card.
  • Cancellations for mid week bookings and only one night will have 72 hours to cancel without charge.
  • For bookings of more than one night, if you cancel your booking less than 14 days prior to your arrival date, your deposit is not refundable unless we are able to re-book your room for the same period.  Bookings cancelled after the 14-day cancellation policy will only be refundable under exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of  management.
  • Check-in is from 2.00pm .  Check-out is by 10.00am.

Terms and Conditions – General

  • Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the booking form or subsequently agreed in writing or email.  Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.  Parties and functions are strictly prohibited – excessive noise may result in eviction.  No refund will be due.
  • Breakaway Apartments has a Strict NON Smoking Policy within our accommodation.  A fine of $150 for cleaning will be issued if this conditions is breached.
  • Keys are to be left on the kitchen bench upon departure of premises.  Lost or stolen keys – $100.  Attempts will be made to contact the guest who will be given the opportunity to return keys taken.  Failure to do so will result in the fee being charged to their credit card, or bond.
  • Standard cleaning services on your departure are included in your rates.  Guests are expected to leave properties in a neat and tidy condition, with washing up removed from sink and placed in dishwasher.  Dishwasher is to be put on before departing the apartment.  You are responsible for all cleaning charges if the property is left in a state that requires more than standard cleaning.
  • Room degradation (such as vomit, bodily waste, general damage and any problem sufficient to result in a room being withdrawn from its availability to be let) will incur a fee of $150 per offence, plus a daily room tariff to be advised by the management, in accordance with business demand on the day, until the said room is considered to be in a saleable condition.
  • Any loss or damage to the property, garden or contents will be charged to the credit card held on file or invoiced to your accommodation provider.
  • Breakaway Apartments are not responsible for articles left in Apartments or Cars.  Breakaway Apartments assume no responsibility for loss of money, jewels or other valuables.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Long term stays of more than a month.  Reasonable use of electricity, gas and other utilities provided at the property are included in your rates. Excessive use (more than 30% increase compared to similar periods) may be charged to the credit card on file.  If charges are passed onto the guest, evidence of charges will be provided on request.
